Summary
It was great to host the 9 teams to our club on Baseline Lake! The regatta started off on Saturday in postponement as the sailors waited for the wind to fill in. The wind eventually filled in enough to race and race committee was able to get a few races off in both fleets. Unfortunately the wind on Sunday was not better, but race committee was able to finish off the set for a total of 3 races in each division. The light and shifty conditions were a tough test for the team, but offered many learning opportunities. The event was many of our sailors’ first college regatta and was a great chance for them to gain experience. Our A fleet sailors had a strong performance finishing 2nd and 3rd in their division. Overall, our team 2 finished 3rd and team 1 finished 7th. Thank you to everyone you came and we look forward to hosting again next year!
